Ben Carson suggests college antisemitism is result of communist ‘indoctrination’

Former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Ben Carson suggested that the display of antisemitism happening across college universities is one of the results of communism overtaking these schools, paving the way to “indoctrinate” students.

Carson’s assessment comes as the Trump administration is feuding with Harvard University over how the school will combat antisemitism on campus, with Harvard University President Alan Garber stating he would “not compromise” with the administration. The former HUD secretary explained how congressional records dating back to 1963 state that one of the 45 goals of communism was to “gain control of our school systems and teacher unions,” meaning that the sudden spike in antisemitic displays on campus has been brewing for decades.

“So now we’re seeing the fruit of that indoctrination,” Carson explained on Fox News’s Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo. “The Marxists understand this very well. That’s why Vladimir Lenin said, ‘Give me your children to teach for four years, and the seed that I sow will never be uprooted,’ and it’s so essential that the Trump administration recognize this — which they clearly do — and act against it.”

Carson detailed how the Trump administration has asked all federal agencies to list all the tools available to combat antisemitism within universities, adding that the administration must be “vigorous” in its mission to combat this.

Carson also lamented how society has allowed “the academic community” to normalize beliefs that are “abnormal.” However, he suggested that the remedy to this is bringing back “common sense,” as doing so would “thwart” most of the “ideological fallacies” being pushed by the education community.

One bright spot that Carson spotlighted is how “a lot of students” with “conservative roots” are now starting to speak up and be proud of their beliefs, giving “real hope” to those concerned about the future of college education.

Last week, Anti-Defamation League CEO Jonathan Greenblatt revealed that he was “really glad” that President Donald Trump is seeking to combat antisemitism at Harvard University. However, he also urged the Trump administration to be “strategic” in its approach to this.
