On Friday, the CDC published a page tracking projects expert members of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices have been involved in that may conflict with their role on the committee.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. took to X to applaud the CDC for its “radical transparency.”
The website lists 40 current and former members with approximately 200 items underneath their names.
However, ACIP member Paul Offitt, who has eight items under his name as the co-holder of several vaccine patents, told the Hill disclosing this information is not new.
“I heard they were going to do this,” Offitt said. “There’s nothing new. This has always been available to the public.”
Not all items listed are actually a conflict of interest. Yvonne Maldonado, professor of pediatrics and epidemiology and population health at Stanford University, has a note that outlines the role she served for Pfizer meningococcal vaccine trials. Next to it it explicitly states “no conflict of interest.”
Kenedy’s acknowledgment of this “conflict of interest” tracker comes as a measles outbreak hits both Texas and New Mexico. The health and human services secretary has a long history of being critical of vaccines. He has raised concerns that a possible link may exist between the rising cases of autism and vaccines.

In 2020, 1-in-36 children were diagnosed with autism, according to the CDC. Compared to 20 years ago, 1-in-150 were diagnosed with autism.
The CDC is now reportedly planning a study to determine if a link exists between vaccinations and autism, according to Reuters. The CDC has not confirmed the report.
