People are absolutely convinced that the vast majority Jews vote for and support Democrats. Where do those numbers come from? Mostly Democrat polls like this.
72% of American Jews disapprove of Donald Trump’s performance so far, poll finds – JTA
The poll claims that most Jews oppose Trump’s fight against antisemitism and oppose deporting campus Hamas supporters.
Is it real? It comes from what the JTA falsely describes as “the nonpartisan Jewish Electorate Institute.”
I’ll repost what I do every time one of these fake polls comes up.
What is the Jewish Electorate Institute really?
Its site only lists the board members, who include former Democrat congressman Martin Frost. The actual paperwork however reveals that the Jewish Electorate Institute’s executive director is Halie Soifer.
Halie Soifer is the executive director of the Jewish Democratic Council of America.
That was then. Currently, JLI is headed by Joel Rubin, “a founding Board Member of the Jewish Democratic Council of America; the founding Political Director of J Street; a surrogate for the Obama 2012 campaign; the national Jewish Outreach Director for the Sanders 2020 presidential campaign; and a member of the Jewish teams for the Biden-Harris 2020 and Harris-Walz 2024 campaigns.”
In short, a leftist anti-Israel activist who used to work for the Bernie ‘Destroy Israel” Sanders campaign.
By no coincidence at all, a poll from the Jewish Democratic Council of America aligns completely with its political messaging.
And the poll itself? Conducted by what even the JTA is honest enough to admit is the “Jewish Democratic pollster Mark Mellman”.
The problem here isn’t the dirty tricks polling campaign. Push polls are part of politics. Both sides put out polls that align with the agenda. The problem is how many people, both Jewish and non-Jewish, eagerly believe them because they align with their expectations.
